In 1890, Kubota Corporation (Osaka, JAPAN) started from producing cast iron weights for scales. In 1924, we acquired the license for manufacturing scales in Japan and expanded our business to include mechanical platform scales. In 1981, we developed gravimetric feeder and have already shipped 10,000 not only in japan but also overseas.
And we are the first manufacturer in Japan of the digital load cell in 2000, which realizes high accuracy, high stability and noise protection performance. Annual production volume is over 30,000.
Feeder is the equipment to feed the material like Pellet, Granule, Liquid etc. to the next process like twin screw extruder at preset constant flow rate. It is mainly used in plastic compounding, film, food and pharmaceutical industries.

System Layout
Newly developed engineering plastic materials and their compounding processes mean the kind of materials fed into an extruder are always increasing. In the past, two or more kinds of materials were pre-blended by mixer and supplied to a feeder.
However, due to the emergence of high performance feeders, direct feeding of several kinds of materials is recently becoming common and generally accepted.
